DC Network Map
This interactive exhibit connects the stories of 25 historic DC-area activists and their affiliated political movements. Visitors click the screen to reveal an activist’s bio along with a notable quote from her while animations re-order the map to show the deep interconnectedness of feminist movements across the network.
The chronology of stories, images, and interactive videos of Black Feminist DC show how Black feminists, who stand at the intersection of race, class, and gender, have fought for a definition of freedom and liberation that extends to all people.
